Milan Fashion Week Highlights – Prada AW18 Catwalk Review

Prada‘s AW18 RTW catwalk show was an explosion of bold fashion statements ranging from placid tweeds to flamboyant fluorescent numbers.

In true Italian style, Miuccia Prada pushed next season‘s collection to a fashionista’s melting point, where we were shown that everything and anything goes when it comes to fashion.

Plastic floral embellishments on tulle worn over mid-length dresses, and bright nylon socks with classic style pumps were few of the fun elements on display.

On the whole, next season’s collection is fun, daring and a breath of fresh air!

Aries:   Mars and Pluto have something up their sleeves, and although it may not be wholly obvious immediately, it is high time that others sat up and took notice of what you are saying right now. With active modes of communication ready and waiting it is time to deliver your clear intentions.

Taurus:   Venus dallies with Saturn and there seems to be a bid to re-enact something best left back where it belongs, in the dim and distant past. Not only have times thankfully changed but your own concepts have seen you make tremendous strides forward; now the truth will inspire you.

Gemini:    Mercury sextiles with Venus and this serves to stir up emotions as an important message is sent directly. If it wasn’t what was expected then it was truly what has to be said right now; and if the truth hurts anybody then you know where you stand and what to do in all reality.

Cancer:    Sextiling with Jupiter, Mars gently nudges somebody into touch, and you may be about to see some long awaited results, as things gear up a notch. Your level of expectation has ensured that you are not disappointed by the finality of recent actions, what comes next, and why.

Leo:   Venus enters and spreads more than just a little love around. It is time to lighten up over a situation for which you have no control at the moment. Love is the antidote needed to make everything work right now, and it can help to prove to show you just where you really are right now.

Virgo:   Stubborn energies have allowed you to carry on with recent projects, but now you need to take some downtime and some much needed rest and relaxation. It would be good to see things from another direction, since Mercury calls the shots on Venus as it transits Saturn.

Libra:   Ring the changes since not everything is set in stone and renovation brings great consequence. This is a great time for you to get involved in something that you really believe in, bringing you in touch with your psychic inner self. Invention from Uranus and the Sun will help you.

Scorpio:  If you can keep your temper, when others seem to be losing theirs, then that will be half the battle. Think what is at stake and calm, nothing will be gained in this situation if anger is involved. Mars sextiles Jupiter but actions with Uranus midmonth negate any new ventures.

Sagittarius:    Jupiter is in cahoots with Mars and please do not do anything that you will later live to regret just because right now it seems to be the only solution. With all the will in the World others do not know what you are capable of, but for sure now they are about to find out.

Capricorn:   A time to closely examine financial matters which seemed to be under control but which now need your undivided attention. It is painfully obvious that somebody, for some reason, is not paying their way and action needs to be taken promptly to bring resolve.

Aquarius:   Look to the future and plan accordingly that which you would wish to change right now. The time has come to go with the flow and to think of yourself for a change, since it is hard to say now just where your loyalties lie and just who, exactly, is steering the ship homeward.

Pisces:   Currently a project needs your sensitivity and drive to ensure a good result. You are good at hiding your light under a bushel, but when push comes to shove you have just what is needed to make the necessary difference right now. Somebody needs you, but is hesitant to ask.

Trend Watch – Men in Python

Colourful prints and earthy tones give way to sleeker snake prints next season.  Seen at Tom Ford’s AW18 Mens runway, python prints, metallic greys and sporty blacks are the new kids on the block.

Perfecting this trend is pretty straightforward and doesn’t require much effort.

Ditch your suit jacket and replace it with a snake skin print bomber jacket, then team the ensemble with classic check grey trousers worn belted with a sheer silver metallic shirt, and finish off the look a funky animal print tie and a pair of red trainers.
