Celebrity Style at Coachella 2017

Coachella came around as quickly as ever, giving us all a glimpse of hopeful summer sunshine and the festival season. What started off as a music festival itself has quickly become a fashion hub and a melting pot of celebrity presence, with a huge amount of style inspiration taken from this year’s Coachella, we’ll be putting aside the flower crowns…

Victoria’s Secret models practically took charge of Coachella (they even had their own hang-out spot called the Angel Oasis) and Lais Ribeiro and Taylor Hill especially looked sensational as a duo. Day 1 saw Taylor in a dusk pink maxi dress complete with headband and lace-up boots whilst Lais went with the bralet trend and paired lacy white with jet-black in the form of a skirt and sandals.

Chilling at The Hyde Away party – hosted by Republic Records and SBE and presented by Hudson and Bare Minerals – Emma Roberts channelled fresh, spring vibes in a lacy white Sea New York mini dress, complete with lace-up ankle boots and newly brunette hair.

Day 2 of the festival saw Hailey Baldwin absolutely kill it in all denim at the Revolve party, with a cropped jumper, statement earrings and subtle sparkly leggings channelling both grungy and glam.

At the star-studded party hosted by Pretty Little Thing x Paper magazine, Lucy Mecklenburgh, known for her role in The Only Way is Essex, took inspiration from the off-the-shoulder trend and made her appearance in this gorgeous blush-coloured dress that really complimented her tanned skin. Lucy held the balance between girly and grungy, completing the outfit with a fluffy clutch, black choker and black chunky heels.

Finally, Rihanna…oh, Rihanna. No-one is able to steal the show quite like her. Pics of the singer flooded the Internet after the fashion icon wore a rhinestone studded all-in-one by Gucci that covered everything, including Rihanna’s face. She kept the rest of the outfit fairly simple – obligatory denim shorts and tee as well as platform trainers, part of her collection for Fenty x Puma.

Celeb Festival Fashion – summer 2016

It’s festival season which means great music, time for friends and of course, festival fashion. Festival fashion has to be one of my favourites because there are no limitations and if you’re lucky enough to have good weather, you can enjoy feeling free without the need for pesky layers! Celebs seem to have their own take on the style – looks can range from the super casual to the daring ‘I’m-only-ever-going-to-wear-this-once’.

Coachella was indeed probably the biggest festival this year in terms of celebrity festival fashion, but I took a look at what some stars have been seen in at other major British festivals.

Rita Ora made a surprise appearance at Wireless festival in London, channelling spots luxe vibes, which included a monochrome Adidas dress and baseball cap. However, she wasn’t without her trademark red lip, giving the urban look a feminine touch.

Model Winnie Harlow also attended Wireless and donned a bright orange Moschino mini dress that perfectly matched her bubbly personality.

Jourdan Dunn also sported Moschino; the model wore a two-piece set from the designer’s Looney Tunes collection and finished off the look with Nike high-tops, fitting for the grime scene of London.

At Glastonbury, perhaps the UK’s biggest festival, thousands of Hunter boots could be seen, including those of Suki Waterhouse and Lily Donaldson. Lily opted for the double denim layered over a white bandeau and several necklaces while Suki opted for all black, including an oversized sweater, beanie and flowered skirt.

Adele – the star of the show, dazzled on stage in a black bespoke Chloe dress, bringing a new chic meaning to festival fashion.
