Garden parties, cream tea, cucumber sandwiches and the story of Snow White. This summer’s new favourite style is all very pretty and trim. Influenced by the two new movies based upon the Snow White fairy tale, this summer will be a white one. With an array of lace, crisp cotton and an abundance of broderie anglaise, white garments are the new basis for a cool, chic minimalism.
The spring/summer 2012 catwalk saw the likes of Diane Von Furstenberg, Stella McCartney and Celine, all representing precision cut tailoring and a sharp finish for the classily cool take on the trend. Whereas designers such as Louis Vuitton, Dolce & Gabbanna and Chloe opted for the pretty girl style using the sheerest of silks to create the most delicate of all looks. When walking down the high-street we now see white gracing most shop windows, catching the attention of any passerby, the question is, how will you wear the new Snow White trend?
