Monochrome Magic
Designers have taken a bit of a breather from the chaos that is summer prints with cool collections of monochrome black and white for pre-fall 2012. Perfect as a workwear trend to take you from day to night, the trick here is to think out the box. Black and white is a classic combo so pair the two in interesting and subtle ways to avoid a washed out waitress look.
What’s great about this trend is that we all have a touch of black or white in our cupboards so find ways of re-inventing it. Update your LBD with white heels or a belt, pop your white work shirt with a leather pencil or for a bit of flair add a third colour like fuchsia or lime.
