It’s been a happening few weeks for Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen. They are the most recent recipients of the highest honour at the 2012 Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA) Awards by winning the Womenswear Designer(s) of the Year award for their line, The Row. At the event, Mary-Kate debuted her new brunette locks of hair, and on 13 June, the twins celebrated their 26^th birthday!

In the weeks leading up to the CFDA Awards, the twins paired up with shoe guru Steve Madden to serve as the co-creative directors for the timeless Italian brand, Superga. 

There is no denying that this dynamic duo are taking the fashion world by storm, but they also serve as prominent style icons for those of us who observe and love fashion. While Mary-Kate Olsen is partially responsible for making the ‘homeless’ bohemian-chic look popular, it is fascinating to see both women’s styles evolve and come to life in The Row.

So grab a pair of Superga sneakers, leather-inspired trousers or mini skirt, and an oversized, off the shoulder sweater or blazer and pay tribute to two of today’s best designers!
