Decades in Shades
I spy with my little eye something beginning with ‘S’…Shades.
I think I speak for every woman when I say the best part of summer is being able to walk out of the house effortlessly cool, without the time consumed in applying eye make up, nor the hassle of removing it. We all feel the buzz when the atmosphere is surrounded by women in dresses, sandals, or anything floral they’ve found in their wardrobes. However the most important statement we can make is with our eyes, or what we shade them with.
They say eyes are the window to our soul, well if that’s the case then Ray Bans are the perfect blinds. With Summer around the corner and the sun shining, our shades have been restored in their rightful place. The must have sunglasses of this season are not fresh for our eyes and have in fact been around since 1937, though they are the farthest thing from outdated. Ray Bans are renowned for their variety of shapes, colours and styles ranging from geek to chic, where ‘Aviator’, ‘Clubmaster’ and ‘Wayfarer’ have been sported by celebrities such as Tom ‘Maverick’ Cruise, Gwyneth Paltrow, Paris Hilton, ‘Brangelina’ and Jessica Alba to name a few. ‘Jackie Ohh’, another collection, encouraged by First Lady Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis are a true 1950s inspiration and till this day are the most sought out sunglasses. Whether you’re wearing your summer dress or your silk scarf, you too can look as classy and feel as self-assured as Jackie O did.
