Celebrities on the red carpet at the 53rd Annual Grammy Awards
Several nominees, presenters and guests of the 53rd Annual Grammy Awards were dressed by Giorgio Armani. The show which took place on Sunday evening, February 13, 2011, from the Los Angeles Staples Center, where it was broadcasted live on CBS at 8:00 pm EST/PST.
Multi-nominated Katy Perry selected three Giorgio Armani looks to wear throughout the evening. For the red carpet, Katy wore a custom-made Giorgio Armani evening dress featuring a Swarovski crystal encrusted bustier and an iridescent silk organza ruffled skirt which features a dramatic open front and cascading train. The look was completed with subtly lit white feather angel wings.
For her live performance, Katy celebrated Valentine’s Day early in a custom-designed Giorgio Armani pink dress confection. The dress includes a corset top embellished with pink shimmering rock crystals and a full mini skirt highlighted by an explosion of hearts embellished with Swarovski crystals. The look is completed with a pair of custom-made Giorgio Armani platform shoes that feature a lucite heel and an array of hearts.
For the remainder of the evening, Katy chose a Giorgio Armani Privé iridescent silvery cocktail dress. The fully embellished design features paillettes and Swarovski crystals as well as a dramatic one shoulder silhouette.
Bar Refaeli also attended in an Emporio Armani white peak lapel fitted cropped jacket. She completed the look with a black Emporio Armani skinny trouser.
Mulit-nominated John Mayer wore a Giorgio Armani black velvet two-button shawl collar evening jacket with formal evening pants, a classic wing collar shirt and a black patterned scarf.
Best New Artist nominee Drake selected a Giorgio Armani one-button peak lapel tuxedo with a classic black evening shirt and a black bow tie. Drake was nominated in three additional categories.
Dierks Bentley, nominated for two awards, wore an Emporio Armani one-button peak lapel charcoal gray suit with a classic white shirt and a dark green neck tie.
Russell Brand attended wearing a Giorgio Armani one-button peak lapel gunmetal gray suit with a black shirt and a black neck tie.
