Beat the recent London heat with this summer’s most daring trend; bra tops and crop tops! Popular back in the 1990’s, crop tops have made a come back this summer in the form of loose fitted cropped t-shirts and tight fitting bralet tops. Many people tend to shy away from crop tops but there are ways to wear them without having any midriff show. One way is to pair the crop top with high-waist skirts or shorts/trousers. This past week inLondon, I saw a few girls wearing loose fitting cropped t-shirts on top of a tighter fitted, body con dress. I’ve also seen loose shirts tied, creating the cropped look.
With the Olympics occurring right now, right here in London, country flag-inspired crop tops have popped up in a lot of fashion forward clothing retailers. There are also displays of casual crop tops for enjoying the sunny days as well as dressier, sophisticated crop tops for going out at night like fine-knit cashmere cardigans.
So why not give the crop top a chance this summer? You might be pleasantly surprised!
