Gianfranco Ferré’s AW2012 RTW collection was a tribute to the late designer, who was known for creating beautiful luxurious designs for women who love to work and play. Ferré’s design house is now under the artistic direction of Stefano Citron and Federico Piaggi, who seem to have managed to stay faithful to Ferré’s vision, by reviving some of his old characteristic of architectural structured designs. The new collection which was shown in Milan Fashion Week yesterday the 27th of February 2012 echoes the late designer’s trademark of asymmetrical dresses and beautiful tailored yet very feminine clothes. The colour theme was a mixture between dark blue, grey with some metallic touches. Fabrics included cashmere, silk and leather with plenty fur trimmings and some playful sequins. Both designers have delivered a great collection which will no doubt be copied by many high street retailers.
