Break away from the traditional this summer by colour contrasting your wardrobe.  This catwalk look by Aquilano.Rimondi www.aquilanorimondi.it is the perfect example of how colour blocking can work for day or night.  To achieve this trendy look you simply need to follow some stylish fashion rules.  We asked our Fashion Director Hala Di-Maio to share with us some of her top stylist’s tips, and her advice is to co-ordinate your colours carefully by mixing strong blue shades with fuschias and soft pinks and by accessorising them with contrasting orange, yellow and gold.

Stylish Swimwear for All Body Shapes

It’s the usual time of year when most of us get into a panic mood about our beach bodies and about finding the suitable swimwear.  Whether you’re in your 20s, 30s, 40s or 50s finding the right bikini or tankini is by no means an easy task.  To help you make the right choice, here are some vital style tips to keep in mind just before you set off shopping for this summer’s swimwear:

Big Tummy: Try creating a waistline by wearing tight fitting swimwear with draping effects on the belly area this will give the illusion of a slimmer waist.

Big hips: Avoid wearing light bright colours; instead go for dark colours like black, navy or dark brown.  The best advice is to wear a one-piece designed with a lighter shade on the top half and a dark shade on the bottom half.

Small bust: Go for smart light padding halter style bikini top in bright bold colours.

Big Bust: Support is vital make sure your swimsuit has plenty of support.  Go for horizontal patterns as they create the illusion of smaller breasts. 

Short legs: In order to create the illusion of elongated legs, go for high-cut cut leg style swimwear, you can also create the same illusion by wearing slightly skirted swimwear bottoms.
