How to look glamorous on the beach?

How to Look Glamorous on the beach?

“Looking Glamorous on the beach” is there such a thing?

Well who are you kidding? Of course there is!

just because some of us ladies feel insecure about our body shapes, and all the flab we think people take notice of as soon as we get in our bikini and swimsuit, isn’t enough reason to make us feel unattractive once we set off on our annual holiday to a hot and sexy destination.

As I’m feeling in a generous mood this Sunday morning, I’ll let you in on some of my best kept tips on how to look Glamorous and gorgeous on your hot summer holidays and on the beach.

*Buy big sunshades, round shaped ones are a must this summer; if you can’t afford a Chanel or Gucci pair, please do yourself a favour and don’t go investing in a fake pair, you’re better off buying a funky pair of sunglasses from outlets like Topshop, miss Selfridge, Dorothy Perkins or Next.

*Take at least 3 pairs of bikinis or swimsuits, wait for the sales and shop around you’ll find great designer bargains.  Make sure you don’t buy them a size too small though, as you won’t be doing yourself a favour if you end up looking all squashed and squeezed into your swimwear.

*Loose natural fabrics are a must for hot summer days, please, please, please no synthetic fibres or nylon!

*Book for a pedicure and manicure before you set off on your holidays.

*Big hat and Big shades will give you an instant glamorous look.

*And finally check out my make up it tips:

-keep it simple, all what you need is a waterproof mascara like the one by Bourjois “volume clubbing waterproof mascara £7.95″ and for even a more perfect look I suggest the “Diorshow waterproof mascara by Dior £18.50″.

-Lips need protection as well as moisture, Estee Lauder, Lancôme, Clinique and all the leading beauty brands have lip glosses and lipsticks with added spf 15, and they all come in great shades.

-Cheeks don’t need much attention once you’ve got a healthy tan, Givenchy and Gurelain have great blushers for the summer, and Estee Lauder and Clinique wonderful bronzers.

Well that’s about it for today…for more fashion, style and beauty tips please visit Stilorama Magazine site; it’s packed with this summer’s fashion and beauty essentials.

Hot or Not what is the summer of 2008 all about?

Sunday, July 20th, 2008

Just as the holiday season kicks off, and the sales are well in their prime; this is the perfect time to get your summer wardrobe sorted out.  Fashion editors are already working on winter trends and some on next year’s spring trends.  But what you should most fashion mortals be shopping for this summer?

Well the answer is really simple.  Don’t shop till you drop, instead shop wisely and buy things that you will be more than happy to wear next summer too.  Look out for designer bargains, Harrods, Selfridges, and Harvey Nichols have massive sales on, so don’t waste your time going around the high street trying to find £10 and £20 dresses, get down to fashionable Sloane Street or Bond Street and get yourself the bargain of the year.  Designer labels are always a step ahead, so what you buy this year will definitely be in next summer.

If you want to look Hot his summer and the next one too; avoid falling into the fashion victim trap, follow what’s on my shopping list and you are guaranteed to look “More Hot than Not” this summer.

Simple Black Dress, Silver and Gold Accessories, white feminine shirts, shirt dresses, wrap dresses, flip flops, animal prints, safari jackets, nautical and last but not least hats.

The summer of 2008 is full of colours, florals, maxi dresses, polka dots and metallic fabrics.  For more information, products stockists, and for all summer trends and shopping ideas; check Stilorama Magazine July-August issue, it’s packed with everything fashionable and trendy as well as all the beauty must-haves including everything you need for a perfect summer.

Catch you up later; I’ve got my own shopping to do…

Fashion Editor Blog

Sunday, July 13th, 2008

Welcome to Stilorama Magazine new fashion blog.

Fashion and Sunday mornings don’t always go hand in hand.  I mean how is anyone supposed to look fashionable or trendy on Sunday mornings?  As if browsing through the Sunday papers isn’t enough to make the most fashion conscious including myself feel in need of a desperate fashion and beauty makeover.

Writing fashion articles is supposed to be fun, but not on Sunday mornings with a house full of children calling my name every second of the day.  Well this is how glamorous my fashion editor life gets to be on Sunday mornings and over the weekend.  But who’s complaining? At least I get to take my fashion conscious daughters shopping and listen to them complaining about my stylish choices when helping then to choose their clothes.  Here I am an established fashion journalist and Stilorama Magazine Editor-In-Chief and Fashion Director standing in the middle of Topshop being criticised by my teenage daughter and my younger one who thinks she is already a teenage girl herself.

Love it or loathe it no one can argue with the fact that life in the fast fashion lane is never boring, and if like me you happen to be blessed or burdened with having to juggle work and family life together, take a hint from me, if you’re planning on going shopping today, you’ve been warned…go shopping alone!
